brainstorm was Aurelia Carbone's first large-scale anamorphic installation, contructed out of adhesive vinyl and installed in the stairwell of the Kaurna Building, City West Campus, University of South Australia in November 2011.

The work was curated by Dr Mary Knights and Keith Giles as part of the Little Interventions series - enlivening the corridors and stairwells of this award winning, architecturally designed building.

The strings of bright orange coalesced into a cloud shape when viewed from the elevators on Level 4 of the building. As you moved through the space, up the stairs or through the stairwell and surrounding corridors the shape would lengthen and distort, dripping down the stair treads and risers.
